How to use AI effectively in Data Analysis
.. my experience of learning R and how it changed my career..
Hi Scholars,
This newsletter is slightly different from my regular ones - I wanted to share something personal that might interest you. And this is my genuine experience, no frills!
Last year, I stumbled across a stat by the U.S. Labour Bureau that caught my eye: Data-related roles will be among the top 10 fastest-growing jobs till 2032.
Well, it got me thinking about my own skills..
I knew I needed to up my data game, but wasn't sure where to start. With all the AI buzz, I wanted something that would make me not just a data analyst, but a 'modern' data analyst who knows how to integrate AI effectively!
And after some digging, I ran across this youtube series explaining pretty well on how to use ChatGPT for data analysis. One thing led to another and then I got to know about one of their Graph Courses called R Basics & Beyond.
I thought, if their free content is so valuable, what would their paid course quality be? So, I decided to give it a shot. I'll be honest, the $145 per month price tag made me hesitate at first 😕
But trust me.. within ONE WEEK of finishing the 3-month course, I was able to land an Upwork gig solely focused on R analysis worth $1200. Talk about return on investment!
But it wasn't just about the money. The skills I gained boosted my confidence to take on more complex work.
The course itself was beyond my expectations - and I’m not just saying that. I can personally vouch for it! Not just me -> they ‘ve 100% satisfaction rate.
Let me tell you about my favorite part: the AI integration (duh 😂). They incorporated it into the curriculum so seamlessly, making you a much more efficient analyst.
Now, full disclosure - I found the R course to be super challenging in the first few weeks. But the instructors were INCREDIBLE (and super patient)! They spent hours giving me individual attention, helping me debug my code and understand concepts I was struggling with (and trust me, there were many).
Even the learning platform they used made the whole experience enjoyable and it literally felt like a real campus. Here's a sneak peek of what it looked like:
Look, I'm not here to give you a hard sell. When I do give a shoutout, I think very hard if my community will genuinely benefit from it. In this case, I didn’t think twice when Graph Network reached out to me, because why not? Afterall, they are my alma mater! So, I can confidently say that if you've been thinking about leveling up your data skills, especially with an eye on AI integration, this course is worth checking out. They've expanded beyond just R now - there's Python too, and even an R Masterclass for those ready to dive deeper.

And don’t forget to check this excellent video series they had created on using ChatGPT for analysis:
Nine ways to use ChatGPT as a data analyst (and 4 ways you shouldn't)

The Current and Future LLM Landscape: A Non-technical Intro to Large Language Models (part 2 of 3)

P.S. They told me that they now offer a 30-day money-back guarantee, so you can always give it a try without the pressure. Feel free to DYOR about everything before you commit. Also, they provide significant support to students who apply for financial aid, esp. those from lower-income countries. Just thought you'd want to know!
Could it help someone in your network?

Thank you my AI role model, someone once asked who is this Razia Aliani you speak so much about during a workshop for data collection techniques in Nigeria, now is also a super fan of yours, looking forward to more impact from you.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Very helpful
